Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide Prevention and treatment health services for the people of Deer Lake First Nation. The Deer Lake Health Services board and staff are a team the plans and directs health programs that promote the well being of our community.

Values

We are concerned with the total well being of our people. We want our first nation members to have the information and services they need to live in health and well being in their families and in their community.

We believe that good health means living in adequate, clean, and well-serviced housing, it also means good nutrition, dental health and sanitation. Health also means spiritual and cultural strength and freedom from addiction. It means a sense of respect for yourself and for others adn the natural environment.

Vision

We will build a health services team by training together and by obtaining the information we need to make responsible decisions in the development of our health system.

We plan to consult regularly with the people in the community to find out their health concerns and problems so that we will better respond to them.

We plan to assume responsiblilty for programs in a phased manner, ensuring that all services are adequately funded and financially accountable.
